JERUSALEM RESTAURANT

Thornhill Post - - October Dining -

Jerusalem Restaurant was established in 1971 and became the first middle-eastern restaurant to serve the Greater Toronto Area. It was a joint venture of three brothers who shared the idea of introducing traditional culinary secrets to the mainstream. The original location at 955 Eglinton Ave. West, is a la carte only and serves up customer favourites like hummos, falafel and various shish kabobs. The Leslie branch is buffet only and has roughly 40 mediterranean/middle-eastern dishes available. It has a wide variety of vegan dishes as well as meat dishes highlighted by the whole roasted lamb on the weekends. This location also has live belly dancing every night and live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. With 240 seats and a semi-private room that holds 60 people, it is a great venue for any occasion.
