Some of Vaughan Mayor Mau­r­izio Bevilac­qua’s con­stituents aren’t thrilled af­ter a re­cent dis­cov­ery that he, an elected of­fi­cial, who has a hand in green-light­ing de­vel­op­ment ap­pli­ca­tions, also sits on the board of Ver­saBank, a vir­tual bank that spe­cial­izes in fi­nanc­ing well-es­tab­lished real es­tate de­vel­op­ers. He has held this ad­vi­sory po­si­tion since May of last year. He earns $110,000 a year with this job, which he has al­ways re­quested be di­rectly given to char­ity.
