Jenkins new chair of Nanaimo port

Moira Jenkins has been named chair of the Nanaimo Port Authority’s board of directors, and director Michelle Corfield will step into the vice-chair position. Both posts take effect in September.

Jenkins, the federal appointee to the board, has served as a director since 2014. She spent 44 years with the Royal Bank, 20 of those as vice-president of commercial banking in Nanaimo.

“I look forward to working with the board and staff, continuing the excellent progress we have made under the leadership of chair (Jeet) Manhas, vicechair Richard Ringma and chief executive Bernie Dumas,” Jenkins said.
