We need a cure, like, moving forward
Re: “Why is everyone moving forward?” letter, Oct. 10.
In terms of ubiquitous and annoying grammatical trends and clichés, did the writer, like, nail this tawdry, tedious narrative in this letter? Absolutely!
Having said that, it’s, like, very comforting to see that the highly infectious disease known as bafflegab has finally been, like, formally acknowledged and that at least two of us are, like, on the same page.
Here’s hoping that a cure will be found sooner than later, so that the optics and metrics of mindless speech and writing will, be, like, less impactful, moving forward. Charlie Burton Victoria
