We need a cure, like, mov­ing for­ward

Re: “Why is ev­ery­one mov­ing for­ward?” let­ter, Oct. 10.

In terms of ubiq­ui­tous and an­noy­ing gram­mat­i­cal trends and clichés, did the writer, like, nail this tawdry, te­dious nar­ra­tive in this let­ter? Ab­so­lutely!

Hav­ing said that, it’s, like, very com­fort­ing to see that the highly in­fec­tious dis­ease known as baf­fle­gab has fi­nally been, like, for­mally ac­knowl­edged and that at least two of us are, like, on the same page.

Here’s hop­ing that a cure will be found sooner than later, so that the op­tics and met­rics of mind­less speech and writ­ing will, be, like, less im­pact­ful, mov­ing for­ward. Char­lie Bur­ton Vic­to­ria
