Plant won’t dish up greatest-hits tour
NEW YORK — Robert Plant has a new solo album, but he won’t leave his Led Zeppelin legacy untouched during an upcoming theatre tour of the U.S.
Says the singer: “I’ll just tell ’em in a different way.”
His album Carry Fire, out today, continues his collaboration with a band whose name, the Sensational Space Shifters, speaks to its versatility.
But anyone expecting the live show to be a jukebox of old hits has come to the wrong place.
If audience members don’t like it, he says, “there’s plenty of other things they can do. Bowling’s a good one.”
