Mother’s advice long ago applies to Morneau now

Times Colonist - - Comment -

All the back and forth over federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s investments and the ethics commissioner’s apparent advice reminds me of a conversation with my mother many, many years ago.

I had once again been in trouble for some bad act or other at school.

“But there’s no rule against it,” I insisted. Her response stuck: “That may be, son, but you knew it was wrong.”
