Museum renews art-theft reward

-

BOSTON — A $10-million US reward offered by a Boston museum for information that leads to the return of more than $500 million worth of stolen art isn’t expiring after all.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum said it has extended the reward that had expired at midnight on Dec. 31. Two men disguised as police officers entered the museum on March 18, 1990, tied up two security guards and stole 13 pieces, including works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Degas and Manet. It was the largest art heist in U.S. history.
