Live music back in Parksville

-

Live music is returning to Parksville, as Knox United Church and Ground Zero Acoustic Lounge have announced a slate of concerts over the coming months.

Music at the popular livemusic venue is back Friday with a sold-out performance by rockabilly group Rooster Tooth. A separate concert series has also been added to the venue’s calendar, which will put musicians on stage through September.

Heartwood (July 25), Edie DaPonte (Aug. 8), Brandon Isaak (Aug. 22), David Essig (Sept. 12) and Leeroy Stagger (Sept. 26) are on the roster of musicians booked to perform during the series. Each act will perform at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the days listed.

Tickets are extremely limited, as each show has a capacity of 50 people, with patrons seated at a distance that meets provincial health guidelines. Non-medical masks are required and will be available at the door for purchase.

Knox United Church is at 345 Pym St. in Parksville. Tickets can be purchased for $30 from gzalounge.com. For more information, phone 250-927-4595 or email runfluid@hotmail.ca.
