The Best Cheap Eats

Toronto Life - - Content - By Alex Baldinger and Rebecca Fleming

A food-lover’s guide to the most eye-poppingly, mouth-wateringly, table-poundingly amazing things to eat in and around Toronto—for $10 or less. Spoiler alert: our list includes Singapore noodles, cheese pupusas, pork-and-crab dumplings, duck fat fries, schmaltzy bagels, and lots more

Toronto doesn’t get many opportunities to boast about its affordability: this is an expensive place to live, and it’s getting more expensive all the time. Which makes it so refreshing that the city’s food scene remains a source of amazing bargains. In 2017, a few bucks is still enough to eat something out of this world. Toronto Life spent the past year scouring the GTA, from Bay Street to the burbs, to assemble this mark-as-you-go checklist of must-try dishes. Cut out these pages and dig in.
