Another put-down of Argos
Re Reds stand out against Blue, Nov. 1 Another article from a part-time hockey writer about the demise of the Toronto Argos in the only newspaper in Canada that won’t send anyone to a CFL game.
The Grey Cup is coming to Toronto and it would be a travesty if any free press tickets were handed out to the Star. The regular CFL scribes from other cities would be horrified if they see strange people from Toronto in the press box.
The Star’s obsession with U.S. politics, U.S. sports and hockey has led to the indifference and lack of support for the CFL. Canadian football is flourishing in all the other cities in Canada. Why is there such a put-down on the Argos? Tom Mathews, Burlington
