Star website takes five awards

The Star won five prizes at Monday’s Canadian Online Publishing Awards, including a gold award for best news website.

Other gold wins for the Star are best multi-platform solution and best video content, which was awarded to Star journalists Melissa Renwick, Kelsey Wilson and Olivia Carville for a video on human trafficking.

The Star also took home silver awards for best digital content and best digital solution.

These wins come on the heels of the Star’s 2015 COPA record; the newspaper won one gold award last year for best article or series.
