á Jennifer Aniston says she spoke out against tabloid culture because she “has worked too hard in this life and this career to be whittled down to a sad, childless human.” The 47year-old actress explained in an interview with Marie Claire her reasons for writing an op-ed in July, saying her marital status, divorce status and lack of a mate have all been “shamed.”

Aniston, who is now married to actor Justin Theroux, became the topic of Internet memes in September following news of ex-husband Brad Pitt’s pending divorce from Angelina Jolie.

á Former One Directione­r Niall Horan will make a guest appearance at the iHeartRadi­o Canada Jingle Ball on Nov. 25 at the Air Canada Centre. It will mark Horan’s first concert performanc­e as a solo artist, Bell Media says. Horan joins a bill that includes The Weeknd, the Chainsmoke­rs, Alessia Cara, Serena Ryder, Belly, Kent Jones and Hedley.

á Jean-Jacques Perrey, the French composer and pioneer of electronic pop music who was best known for co-writing “Baroque Hoedown,” used as the music for the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disney theme parks, has died at age 87.

Perrey died in Lausanne, Switzerlan­d, on Friday “from a very quick and violent lung cancer,” his daughter said. “His crazy, happy music has been heard everywhere, from commercial­s to Sesame Street,” fellow electronic music composer Dana Countryman said in a tribute.

á Wonder Woman Gal Gadot is to become a mom again. The 31-yearold actress announced her pregnancy on Instagram. Gadot and husband Yaron Versano also have a daughter, Alma, born in 2011.
