Sanders swings by on deadline eve

-

INDEPENDENCE, OHIO— If the Cavaliers strike out before Thursday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline, they’ll still have alternatives including free-agent centre Larry Sanders, who met with the Cleveland coaching staff on Wednesday. Once one of the NBA’s top shotblockers, Sanders played in just 50 games after signing a four-year, $44million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks before the 2013-14 season. He was waived in February 2015 and has been treated for anxiety and depression since then. The Cavs also signed forward Derrick Williams to a second 10-day contract.
