‘IT WAS A GREAT GAME OF CRICKET’

Mumbai Indians capture Indian Premier League final for the ages by a single run

-

Mumbai teammates celebrate their third IPL title in Hyderabad after Sunday’s last-ball victory over Rising Pune Supergiant — which had won all three previous meetings. With Mumbai at 129-8, Supergiant needed just 11 runs in the last over, but fell short against bowler Mitchell Johnson. Said Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma in the aftermath: “I’m calm now, (but) it was a great game of cricket. To be able to defend a score like this was a brilliant effort. I couldn’t ask for more.”
