AMC, BBC go back to le Carré well

AMC, BBC One and the Ink Fac­tory have an­nounced their fol­lowup project to the crit­i­cally ac­claimed, Emmy-win­ning The Night Man­ager.

It’s based on an­other John le Carré novel, The Lit­tle Drum­mer Girl.

The six-part minis­eries will be di­rected by Park Chan-wook ( Old Boy, The Hand­maiden), mak­ing his TV de­but.

English ac­tress Florence Pugh ( Lady Mac­beth) will star.

Set in the late 1970s, The Lit­tle Drum­mer Girl is an in­ter­na­tional es­pi­onage story set against the back­ground of ris­ing ten­sions in the Mid­dle East.

Pugh will play ac­tress and dou­ble agent Char­lie.

Pro­duc­tion will be­gin in Jan­uary. De­bra Yeo
