Shelburne ball at Canada Games

Tri-County Vanguard - - SPORTS -

Shelburne County ball player Megan Perry is in Winnipeg competing at the Canada Summer Games.

Perry is a member of the Team Nova Scotia women’s softball team.

She started her ball career in the Albert Acker Memorial field around 11 years ago and was on the first girls’ team to form in the area. She hasn’t stopped playing since.

The outfielder has been part of the Nova Scotia team for years, winning provincial championships and travelling all over for games and practices.

In an interview with this newspaper in June, Perry said he has loved ball since the first time she stepped up to the plate. She added the community has supported her throughout the years, with generous sponsorships that have helped to keep her in the game.
