Yarmouth 4-H re­sults from pro­vin­cial com­pe­ti­tions

Dal­housie Agri­cul­ture Cam­pus hosted all of the 4-H re­gions around the prov­ince this past week­end in com­pe­ti­tions in pub­lic speak­ing, woods­men and posters.

Many Yarmouth 4-H mem­bers at­tended. Win­ners in­cluded a 2nd place fin­ish from Prince Charles 4-H Club mem­ber Ryan Pit­man in the Se­nior Hand Drawn Poster Com­pe­ti­tion and a 3rd place fin­ish from Maple Leaf 4-H Club mem­ber Ali­son Perry in the Se­nior Sin­gle Demon­stra­tion.

Other com­peti­tors in­cluded Theron and Blaze Win­ship (Se­nior Dou­ble Demon­stra­tion), Aleah Mood (Ju­nior Sin­gle Demon­stra­tion), Mikaela Rho­di­nizer (Host­ess), Cae­lan DeViller (Ju­nior Thanker), Ryan Pit­man ( In­ter­me­di­ate Speaker), and Felic­ity Gaudet (Ju­nior Hand Dream Poster).

Sci­ence Fair par­tic­i­pants were rec­og­nized with medals and in­cluded Mikaela Rho­di­nizer and Cae­lan DeViller.

Ali­son Perry won a Na­tional Award trip to Toronto to at­tend a Youth Fo­rum in Toronto in Novem­ber 2018.

Hanna MacLeod won a Na­tional Award trip to Ot­tawa to Rep­re­sent Nova Sco­tia the Na­tional Cit­i­zen Con­gress held over the week­end.

Re­sults from woods­men com­pe­ti­tion are cur­rently be­ing tab­u­lated and will be re­leased to teams next week­end. The team in­cluded Theron Win­ship, Jonah Greenslade, Do­rian Cle­ments, Tavar­ion Burke, Haillee At­wood, Josie Fian­der, D’Saun Mor­ton and was Coached by Peter Win­ship and as­sisted by An­drew Hil­ton, Diana & Jeremy MacLean.
