COT­TREAU,

Anne Marie (An­nie) – age

89, Nak­ile Home for Spe­cial Care, Glen­wood, for­merly of Wedge­port, Yar­mouth Co., passed away peace­fully on Septem­ber 28, 2018. Born in Wedge­port, she was the daugh­ter of the late John and Lucy (LeBlanc) Cot­treau. Anne was pre­de­ceased by her beloved hus­band Arthur John Cot­treau. Dur­ing her work­ing life, she was a cook for the lob­ster fish­er­men on the Tus­ket Is­lands. She will greatly be missed by all. She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Florence (Gilles) Ver­ret, Wedge­port; Bertha (Al­bert) Surette, Abram’s River;

John B (Su­san) Cot­treau, Wedge­port; Dean Cot­treau, Bridge­wa­ter; Joyce Cot­treau, Wedge­port; and El­don Cot­treau, Wedge­port. She is sur­vived by her brother Clif­ford (Betty) Cot­treau, Wedge­port and grand­chil­dren; Neil, Rhonda, Shelly, An­gela, Tara, Shawn, Ni­cole, Adam, Joshua, Anita, Jeremy, Janna, and 12 great-grand­chil­dren. She was pre­de­ceased her sons; Ron­nie Cot­treau and Nil Cot­treau in in­fancy. Sis­ters; Made­line Hub­bard and Estelle Boudreau. Brothers; Leo Cot­treau, Arthur Cot­treau, Lawrence Cot­treau, and Charles Cot­treau, and son-in-law Del­bert Doucette. Vis­i­ta­tion took place 7-9 pm Mon­day Oc­to­ber 1 from H.M. Huskil­son’s Fu­neral Home, Wedge­port, with prayers at 8 pm. The fu­neral Mass was held at 11 am Tues­day Oc­to­ber 2 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedge­port, with Fa­ther Al­beni d’ En­trement of­fi­ci­at­ing. In­tern­ment fol­lowed in the Saint Michael’s Parish Ceme­tery. It was re­quested that there be fam­ily flow­ers only. Dona­tions in mem­ory of An­nie may be made to the Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety of Nova Sco­tia or the Saint Michael’s Parish Ceme­tery.
