Mont-Tremblant, Que. will host the 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championship on Sept. 7, 2014. This will be in addition to the 70.3 and Ironman events it currently hosts, making it the only location to host three major Ironman events in one calendar year. “The choice of Mont-Tremblant as the host venue for the 2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championship was an obvious one given the success of the inaugural Ironman events held here in 2012,” said Andrew Messick, ceo of Ironman. “We are confident that Mont-Tremblant and the province of Quebec will be the ideal hosts for the first Ironman World Championship event to be held outside of the United States.” Beginning with Mont Tremblant in 2014, the Ironman 70.3 World Championship will rotate globally among different regions on an annual basis. This year’s Ironman 70.3 World Championship will be held at Henderson, Nev. on Sept. 8, 2013.
