2015 World Duathlon Cham­pi­onships Awarded to Ade­laide

TheIn­ter­na­tional Triathlon Union ( ITU) an­nounced that Ade­laide, South Aus­tralia will host the 2015 itu Duathlon World Cham­pi­onships from Oc­to­ber 14– 18, 2015. Aus­tralia pre­vi­ously hosted the 2005 itu Duathlon World Cham­pi­onships in New­cas­tle. Dur­ing that time of the year, par­tic­i­pants and spec­ta­tors can ex­pect ideal spring race con­di­tions. Events in­clude: elite, un­der 23, ju­nior elite, age group stan­dard and age group sprint duathlons, parad­uathlon, novice and kids duathlons, along with com­mu­nity par­tic­i­pa­tion events. Event or­ga­niz­ers have pro­posed a four-lap 10 km run, fol­lowed by an eight-lap 40 km bike and end­ing with a two-lap 5 km run course for the elite and un­der 23 races, which are set to take place in the heart of Ade­laide around the River Tor­rens.
