Saucony Kinvara 5

Triathlon Magazine Canada - - TRI SHOES - SZ

For the past four years Saucony has annually updated their extremely popular low profile Kinvara with enhancements, but the Kinvara 5 features a significant redesign. With added flexibility and durability, the Kinvara 5 contains the benefits of a minimalist shoe with the protection of a thicker midsole and increased structure. This is achieved thanks to the Lock fit technology borrowed from their racing flats and spikes which locks the foot down on top of the midsole

pro- making for a powerful toe-off. The midsole design also allows for a smoother transition from heel to foot. Saucony changed the material on the heel counter from earlier versions making it softer and reducing potential chafing at the back of the heel. Additional changes include a new mesh material that is as lightweight as the mono-filament used before, but has more give and is more durable. The Kinvara 5 is sure to top triathletes’ lists of favourite shoes this season.–
