Art is going to be an elec­tion is­sue for the Oc­to­ber bal­lot in Pres­cott-Rus­sell if the re­gio­nal arts coun­cil has its way.

“We’re real­ly fo­cu­sed on cal­ling out to the com­mu­ni­ty in this elec­tion,” said Shan­na Steals, pre­sident of the Pres­cottRus­sell Arts Coun­cil (CAPRAC), du­ring a phone in­ter­view Au­gust 27.

CAPRAC has laun­ched a cam­pai­gn to make art and cul­ture part of the Oc­to­ber 22 elec­tion bal­lot is­sues that vo­ters and mu­ni­ci­pal coun­cil can­di­dates consi­der.
