House arrest ordered in drug possession case
TRURO, N.S. — A Truro man who pled guilty to possessing marijuana for trafficking purposes was recently given a 12-month conditional sentence in provincial court.
Sean Angus Murray, 44, of Prince Street, must serve the first six months of his sentence under house arrest.
He was also fined $260 after pleading guilty to producing marijuana.
Sentencing conditions include not possessing illicit drugs without a valid prescription or other legal authorization and that he not be on the premises of establishments where alcohol is a primary product of sale (with the exception of liquor stores).
