Woman placed on probation for theft
TRURO, N.S. – An Indian Brook woman who pled guilty to numerous counts of theft was given a suspended sentence and placed on probation for 12 months during sentencing this week. Gwynne Catherine Sack, 31, of Polar Street, pled guilty to five separate counts of theft from retail locations in Truro, Brookfield, Dartmouth and Halifax between Aug and September 2016. One of the thefts involved a 60 oz. bottle of vodka from Roops Service Centre in Brookfield. Sack also pled guilty to breaching a previous probation order and two counts of breaching court undertakings.
Her probation conditions include successfully taking counselling for alcohol consumption and drug use and for mental health issues as directed.
