Hal­i­fax bank robbed by man in a hard hat

HAL­I­FAX, N.S. – Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the rob­bery of a Hal­i­fax bank, where a man got away with a sum of money.

On Oct. 10, just af­ter 5 p.m., Hal­i­fax Po­lice re­sponded to a call about a rob­bery at the Royal Bank on Al­mon St.

A man wear­ing a hard hat, sun­glasses, blue hoodie and jeans ap­proached a teller and de­manded cash. Af­ter re­ceiv­ing the cash he fled. It’s not known whether a ve­hi­cle was in­volved.

The sus­pect was de­scribed as a white male in his 50s, five-foot-10 in height, with a white goa­tee. No in­juries oc­curred dur­ing the inci-, dent and no weapon was ob­served.
