Blenkhorn sits fourth in pro stock tour stand­ings

TRURO, N.S. – Dy­lan Blenkhorn en­ters this week­end’s Lu­cas Oil 150 at River­side In­ter­na­tional Speed­way fourth in the Mar­itime Pro Stock Tour stand­ings. Blenkhorn, of Truro, has ac­cu­mu­lated 1,995 points through 10 races on the 12-event cir­cuit. Cole Butcher leads the way with 2,099 points, fol­lowed by Craig Slaun­white (2,007) and Shawn Tur­ple (2,007).

Blenkhorn fin­ished fifth in the Cum­mins 200 at Petty In­ter­na­tional Race­way in the last race on Aug. 25. It was Blenkhorn’s sec­ond straight top-five fin­ish, com­ing af­ter a sec­ond at the Toromont Cat 250 at Sco­tia Speed­world on Aug. 11. Mean­while, Braden Langille of Shube­nacadie re­ceived the Ex­ide Bat­ter­ies Rookie of the Race award with his ninth-place fin­ish dur­ing the Aug. 25 event, while Sam Rogers of Lower Onslow won the 25-lap Ban­dolero event.

This Satur­day’s race at River­side be­gins at

5 p.m.

The sea­son finale takes place Sept. 15 with the Dart­mouth Dodge 200 at Sco­tia Speed­world.
