CEC rolls to a pair of wins to nab fourth straight NSSAF Northumberland region crown
e Cobequid Cougars swept a pair of games on Tuesday to win their fourth straight Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Division 1 Northumberland region boys baseball title. e Cougars, who are currently 8-0 this season, are defending provincial champs.
ey have a combined record of 39-2 over the past three seasons, and on Tuesday made short work of their opponents, outscoring them by a combined 17-2 margin.
Cobequid will play at the provincial championship Oct. 12-13, hosted by the Western region.

CEC 9, Northumberland 0 Chad Mingo threw a two-hit shutout and struck out 12 batters as the Cougars cruised to victory.
Luke Creelman singled and belted a solo homerun, while Con-
nor Angers added three singles in a 15-hit CEC attack. Mingo, Micheal Jollimore, Bailey Mackinnon and Quinn Cashen all chipped in three singles.

The Cobequid Cougars are once again NSSAF Northumberland region baseball champs. The Cougars defeated Northumberland and North Nova on Tuesday to win the regional crown.
