The Mu­sic Man de­lights au­di­ences

Quick As A Wink Theatre brought mu­sic, dance, ro­mance and a bit of con­niv­ing to the stage this month with their ren­di­tion of The Mu­sic Man.

The pop­u­lar mu­si­cal, which dates back to the 1950s, was held June 2-4 and June 9-10.

Set in River City, Iowa, the mu­si­cal fo­cuses on Harold Hill, a trav­el­ling sales­man who was out to swin­dle towns­folk of their money.

The show fea­tured the tal- ents of more than four dozen lo­cal artists, whether be­hind the scenes, in the pit band, or on stage.

The main cast in­cluded Justin Brown (as Harold Hill), Becca Guilder­son (as Mar­ion Pa­roo), Donna Holmes (Mrs. Pa­roo), Gretchen Archibald and Swayer Brown (as Winthrop Pa­roo), Alan Slipp ( Mayor Shinn), Rachel Cold­well (Eu­lalie Shinn), Laura Gil­lis (as Za­neeta Shinn), Keigan Richards (Tommy Dji- las), Marc Hetu (Mar­cel­lus), Allan Ab­bott (Char­lie Cowell), and Joni Aube and Neko Cau­field (Amaryl­lis).

The show was di­rected by Thea Bur­ton and pro­duced by Holly Bye-Archibald.
