Two young males are thanking their lucky stars after a freak accident occurred just before 1 a.m. on June 20.

The pair, aged 18 and 19, only suffered minor injuries after the car they were in rolled off the parking area at the Look Off.

The vehicle went down about 75 metres and flipped until it became wedged on its roof between two trees, according to Kings District RCMP spokes- person Const. Kelli Gaudet.

She said the duo, who were there to take photos at the popular viewing point, managed to climb back up the cliff and seek aid at a neighbouring house. One was from the local area and the other from Dartmouth.

“We’re happy no one was hurt more seriously,” Gaudet said. “This incident serves as a reminder to put your car in park.”
