• Hants County Pumper Duty Races — This firefighting com­pe­ti­tion oc­curs in con­junc­tion with the Open Road

Big Rig Show and Shine at the Hants County Ex­hi­bi­tion Grounds in Windsor. Event starts at 9 a.m.; there’s a can­teen on site run by ICE cheer­lead­ers. Day will con­clude with light show at dusk. Free to at­tend.

• Hantsport Mu­sic Fes­ti­val — From 10 a.m. un­til 9:30 p.m. at Foundry Road Sports Field in Hantsport. The an­nual show fea­tures an eclec­tic line up of mu­sic, from blues to coun­try, with all Mar­itime acts. Sig­nal Hill head­lines this year’s fes­ti­val. Other per­form­ers in­clude Heather Rankin, Ced, Marty and Dave, No Name Blues Band, Brook­lyn Black­more, the Par­sons Broth­ers and Friends, and Matt Bal­sor and the Hill Top Show Band. All pro­ceeds raised are paid back to the volunteer groups that help run the fes­ti­val. Cost: $25 in ad­vance, $30 at the gate. Info: www.hhmf.ca.
