Falmouth water boil advisory lifted

Valley Journal Advertiser - - NEWS -

It’s safe to drink from the tap again in Falmouth, according to the Municipality of West Hants.

Falmouth Water Utility consumers were advised on July 2 that the boil water advisory had been lifted, effective 10:20 a.m.

The boil water advisory was issued June 29 at 12:30 p.m. due to high turbidity, which affected the colour of water. It was caused by the excessive rainfall experienced overnight June 28.

A news release on the muni- cipality’s website said the water quality is now considered safe for consumption without boiling.

The Falmouth Water Utility thanked residents for their understanding and patience.
