Wind­sor RCMP ask­ing pub­lic to take precautions fol­low­ing spike in thefts

Wind­sor RCMP mem­bers are ask­ing the pub­lic to take ac­tion to safe­guard their prop­erty fol­low­ing an in­crease in ve­hi­clere­lated thefts in Fal­mouth.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease, po­lice have re­ceived nu­mer­ous re­ports in the Fal­mouth area of thefts from ve­hi­cles and two ve­hi­cles were stolen within the last cou­ple of days. Both ve­hi­cles have since been re­cov­ered.

Given these thefts, RCMP are re­mind­ing Fal­mouth res­i­dents, as well as those across Nova Sco­tia, to lock their ve­hi­cles, re­move their keys, keep valu­ables out of sight and re­port suspi- cious ac­tiv­ity to po­lice.
