This year’s campaign is a special one because it marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War. The campaign climaxes on Nov. 11, with the annual Remembrance Ceremony at Acadia’s University Hall, where the names are read out of all local citizens and Acadia students who fell in the wars of the 20th century.

The ceremony is followed by a parade to the War Memorials at Acadia’s old gym and at the post office. The parade will be accompanied this year by the Pipes and Drums of 14 Wing, Greenwood.
