October 2007

Vancouver Magazine - - Throw Back - —Christine Beyleveldt

Despite what’s on the cover, there’s more to the inside pages than a stack of pastrami. From combat training for the big screen to sexual therapy, with prison education and a documentary lmmaker’s opinion of unsavoury police entrapment in between, our October 2007 issue could be summarized as actionpacked. But more important was the chronicled rise of the gigbased economy by everyday workers in the back pages. “It was as if we were o„ to join acult,” wrote Timothy Taylor. Some 10 years later we’re still documenting that shift.
