Vancouver Sun - - CITY -

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over an investigation into the disappearance of a 54-year-old Surrey woman in the spring. On May 29, the family of San Li Liao reported her missing to the Surrey RCMP and a missing person’s investigation was opened. Now investigators believe the woman met with foul play. IHIT says investigators conducted extensive ground searches, spoke to multiple people and reviewed video surveillance. Liao was last seen leaving her workplace in the 14900 block of 54A Avenue on May 26. Her green 2000 Toyota Sienna, B.C. licence plate 731XEJ, was located three days later in the area of the Guildford Recreation Centre. Anyone with information is asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877551-IHIT (4448) or by email to ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
