PRIVATE EDUCATION GUIDE
Our 29th annual primer to the city’s top private schools and programs
The Ex is, of course, returning, on Aug. 17, and this year it brings with it the world’s largest indoor lantern festival. Basically, when you walk into Hall D of the Enercare Centre, you’ll be stepping into a kaleidoscope of light and colour thanks to 16 illuminated installations. The Chinese lanterns are part of the Silk Road to the CNE, which celebrates the 2018 Canada-China Year of Tourism. Also on the docket is a new outdoor Asian Market, complete with authentic street food and artisanal crafts, which will be open over Labour Day weekend along Princes’ Boulevard. Other special events include the East Coast Kitchen Party (Aug. 18-19), as well as the Food Truck Frenzy, Craft Beer Fest and Gaming Garage, all from Aug. 24 to 26.
LIGHT IT UP This lantern is coming to Toronto by way of Longleat, England.
