Police raid marijuana grow op
A couple hundred thousand dollars worth of marijuana will go up in smoke soon, after a police raid on a grow operation in the City of Clarence-Rockland.
Mark Labrecque, 55, of ClarenceRockland, was arrested and charged following a July 19 police raid, as part of the Project Paradigm anti-drug task force set up through the OPP in Eastern Ontario.
The OPP drug enforcement unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the city, in response to an investigation by the Russell OPP’s community drug action team.
Police seized 292 marijuana plants along with two pounds of harvested marijuana and 25 grams of cannabis marijuana resin. Total estimated street value of the seizure is $295,000.
Labrecque is charged with possession of marijuana, in an amount less than three kilograms, for the purpose of trafficking, production of marijuana, and possession of cannabis resin.
