Police investigate death of Laurier student
A Wilfrid Laurier student was found dead outside of a residence building on Friday. Police were called to a student residence at 260 Regina St. at 3 a.m. where a man was found dead. Waterloo Regional Police are still investigating but say the death is not considered suspicious at this time. No further details were released. “The university is in the process of contacting the student’s family,” the university said in a statement. “At this time, the university is not able to identify the student or provide additional information.” The residence in question is leased by the university and operated as a Laurier residence. Counselling and support services are being made available to all students, faculty and staff.
