Exposing pro-choice movement

Re: Abortion a hot issue on Canadian campuses — Sept. 11

Kudos to Joyce Arthur, executive director of the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada, who has finally exposed the true target of the pro-choice movement as being those who hold religious beliefs against abortion. Unfortunately, for many years the mantra was “protecting the rights of women” when actually that has simply been a pawn by the movement to cloak the real objective. Arthur suggests that crisis pregnancy centres use often untrained peer counsellors who are guided by traditional religious sexual morality and biblical ethics. What proof, if any, does she have for this accusation? Furthermore, if this type of morality and ethics are discussed, how is this against a democracy that supports freedom of speech and belief ?

To critics of these crisis pregnancy centres on or off campuses, instead of being a pawn to the pro-choice group, use your brains and research if the information given by them is or is not misleading. You may be surprised. Also, ask yourself what have they to gain or lose if you do choose life instead of death for a baby that, through proven medical video and print research, is very much a human being inside the womb.
