Driver injured after pickup ends up in pond
Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in which a pickup truck ended up in a pond. On Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. police were called to Wrigley Road in North Dumfries Township, where a westbound pickup truck left the road, struck a tree and came to rest in a pond, said Waterloo Regional Police. The driver, a 25-year-old man from the township, was taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Police said speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
