“Best of Bridge Weekday Suppers” by Emily Richards and Sylvia Kong (Robert Rose, 2018).
The newest entry in the phenomenally successful “Best of Bridge” cookbook series celebrates delicious “weekday” suppers. This outstanding volume brings two new cooks into the “Best of Bridge” kitchen: Guelph home economist and food writer, Emily Richards (”Per la Famiglia,” 2015), and Calgary food economist and consultant, Sylvia Kong.
Richards and Kong share 175 simple, nourishing recipes to motivate us all year long. They frequently make it stress-free for us by using one pot, or the incredibly safe pressure cooker. You will have trouble choosing between easy and delectable samosa wraps or deluxe fried egg sandwiches. The sausage and rapini pasta is remarkably effortless and the roasted red pepper lemon code has simple ingredients that can (almost) be prepared with your eyes closed. Why wait for a special weekend to try the savoury baked French toast? I served the maple granola apple crisp last weekend. There were no leftovers. Drat.
The authors provide tips and tricks to make your time in the kitchen enjoyable. This book will give you plenty of appetizing reasons to return to it. Enjoy!
