REAL WEDDINGS

Wedding Bells (East) - - CONTENTS -

FROM CAROLINE: Luke proposed during my birthday weekend in Toronto. I met his sister for lunch and upon returning to the hotel we were greeted by her boyfriend, dressed as a giant rose. He escorted us up to the room where Luke was waiting—the room was decorated with roses and candles. Luke asked if I wanted to hang out for the rest of our lives, and I said yes! We chose to have the wedding at a family-owned waterfront property in the Thousand Islands. Having an outdoor celebration was very important to us, and we feel so fortunate to have been married at such a unique and meaningful place we can return to for years to come. Our wedding cake was amazing. We chose a lemon cake with buttercream and lemon mousseline, plated with local seasonal berries. It was the first and only cake we tasted and it was delicious. We were really lucky to have a caterer with a fantastic in-house pastry chef. It was very important to us to have live music at the wedding reception. We both come from musical families and truly appreciate how much live music brings to any event. The Sway Band’s talent, repertoire and ability to keep the dance floor going for hours blew us away. They were truly the life of our party!
