JESSIE MCALLISTER and JOHN GRAHAM
AUGUST 20, 2016
FROM JESSIE: John proposed on Christmas Eve. He asked for my dad’s permission on the annual family trip to the tree farm where we pick out our Christmas tree. John got down on one knee in front of my family, and we celebrated afterward with champagne. We wanted to highlight the classic elegance of the Château Laurier through the wedding decor. We chose white, blush, silver and gold as our colours. We had custom-cut mirrored tabletops to reflect all the lighting in the room and to really make it sparkle. The flowers were such an important detail. The five-tiered cake was even more gorgeous thanks to real flowers between each tier. We had flowers draped over the chandelier above our sweetheart table, and the orchids and large cherry blossom trees with trailing wisteria added a touch of elegance. The church ceremony was the best moment of the day. We got married in the church our family has attended for generations. The ceremony was so sentimental, and the officiant was the same priest who married my parents 35 years ago!
THE FLOWERS WERE SUCH AN IMPORTANT DETAIL.
