JENNA CHOLERAS and CURTIS RIDEOUT

Wedding Bells (East) - - REAL WEDDINGS -

FROM JENNA: We were introduced by a mutual friend while at St. Francis Xavier University. We moved to Calgary and then Halifax after school. Curtis proposed to me on a return visit to our old campus— we planned the wedding for exactly one year later. Our eclectic wedding theme tied in three elements: summer, watercolour and farmers’ market. The market aspect was a given as the venue was the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market! The watercolour and decor elements softened the modern venue and added a feeling of romance. I loved the events leading up to our wedding day. We were able to spend quality time with family and friends who were visiting from out of town. Another treasure was a video of well wishes from our nearest and dearest that was made by my maid of honour. We watched it the morning of the wedding and it was such a special moment. We had a piñata guestbook—it was my favourite detail! I had this made in Toronto and it was stuffed with notes from the guests. We’re going to break it open on our one-year anniversary.
