Wedding Bells (West) - - Real Weddings -

FROM AYLEE: Solomon and I wanted to get married in a garden reminiscent of my childhood-home backyard. We envisioned an ethereal and romantic look, but wanted it to have a bit of an edge. For this reason, we chose pale pinks, white, silver and navy for our palette. We had our first dance to a slow version of “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. This song was perfect for us because we met in Toronto, where neither of us grew up, and recently relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, which was also a new place to us. So the song lyrics “home is wherever I’m with you” really resonated with us. We consider ourselves to be foodies, thus good food was a necessity. The Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver catering team worked with us to create a highly unique and delectable menu inspired by dishes from our favourite Toronto restaurants. After dinner, everyone hit the dance floor to tunes by Side One. They kept the floor full throughout the night, incorporating many songs made by special request. For the very last dance of the night, Solomon and I slow danced surrounded by a circle of wedding guests linked arm in arm. The love from our family and friends was palpable!
