Q&A with JENNY PACKHAM

Wedding Bells (West) - - Style - —Alison McGill

British designer Jenny Packham (a favourite of Kate Middleton) recently launched Wonder by Jenny Packham with David’s Bridal. We spoke to the designer about her newest collection and what inpsires her designs.

What is the signature style of a Wonder by Jenny Packaham bride?

“Feminine with vintage-inspired beading and delicate, understated adornments. Flowing silhouettes complement more structured shapes, exposed backs and delicate embellishments.”

Do you have a favourite dress in the collection?

“One dress I particularly love was inspired by wild flowers—the hand-beaded leaf motifs, pearl clusters and floral appliqué add whimsical and romantic touches.”

Why do you love designing bridal gowns?

“I’ve always aspired to create something special and beautiful the bride feels confident wearing—this is consistently at the forefront of my design process.”
