FROM AGNES: When the opportunity came to exchange our vows in the Bahamas, it was a no-brainer. We were one of 16 lucky Canadian couples chosen through a contest to have their wedding take place at 4 p.m. in 16 different locations in the Bahamas. Our wedding celebration was very intimate—it was just us. We’re throwing a reception party in the summer for the family and friends who weren’t able to attend. On the day of our wedding, it looked like it was going to rain. The wedding planner told us if the extreme weather continued, we needed a backup plan for the venue. We hoped the weather would co-operate because we really wanted to get married on the beach. Thankfully the sun came out one hour before the ceremony. Exchanging vows was such a memorable moment. I felt my heart racing, and the expression on Travis’s face was full of emotion and sincerity. When we sat down to sign the wedding contract, a rainbow appeared over our heads!

OUR WEDDING CELEBRATION WAS VERY INTIMATE—IT WAS JUST US.
