Weddingbells (Toronto) - - DESTINATIONS HOT HONEYMOONS -

FROM SARAH: From the moment we set eyes on our venue, we knew it was the one. We loved that it is exclusive and more unique than conventional banquet halls. It has a grand yet intimate charm, and you really can’t beat the “wow” factor when driving in. It also overlooks Lake Ontario and is surrounded by beautiful trails—we couldn’t have imagined a better venue. Since we had a lot of guests from out of town, we wanted to get everything going quickly, so we started early and had photos taken beforehand. We spent the night prior apart, and, in the morning, after getting ready, it was so exciting to see each other for the first time. It was nice to share that moment without having too many eyes on us. One of our favourite details was the cake, which we didn’t secure until the very last minute. We love Ferrero Rocher anything, so we had that as our flavour for the bottom layer of the cake, followed by a strawberry shortcake tier and topped with a lemon cake. After dinner and speeches, we had everyone on the dance floor— our DJ was killing it. Midway, the music stopped and everyone was directed to look at a screen. Our same-day-edit video played, and the tent erupted in cheers when it was done. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was beyond what we had imagined. It captured our day so perfectly—we haven’t been able to stop watching it since.
