Weddingbells (Toronto) - - IGNITE SOMETHING -

FROM DEBORAH: We met while working at St. Joseph Media, the publisher of Weddingbells. Once we learned that we had both completed our undergrads at Ryerson University in the same year, and had even attended the same convocation ceremony, we quickly became friends. Over the course of a year, we worked together on producing videos of various company events—I would assist Ryan with interviews as he wielded a camera. With time our friendship turned into something more and we started dating. The gorgeous grounds and scenery of the Old Mill made taking our wedding photos a wonderful experience—we made an adventure of it with our wedding party and families. We were also particularly happy with our choice in venue because it had everything we could possibly need under one roof: hotel, restaurant, florist, and ceremony and reception space. The string duo we hired added to the day’s elegance. The sound of a violin and cello welcoming you as you walk down the aisle was romantic; it made a small, intimate gathering feel grander. One of the highlights of the evening was seeing my father moved to tears during the procession in the garden; he’s usually the strong and silent type. This powerful moment was appreciated by everyone and confirmed to us that we had achieved our goal of having a personal, elegant wedding celebration.
