Weddingbells (Toronto) - - IGNITE SOMETHING -

FROM ABIGAIL: Jordan and I met at a casual gathering at a friend’s place. I came over to play some games, and Jordan had just moved in with said friend and was new to Toronto. After that we saw each other often. The sparks grew slowly, but steadily, until we realized we were more than just friends. On our first date, we went to the memorable Luma and walked around the city. Since then, we’ve been exploring downtown Toronto together. Picking a wedding date was a happy coincidence. Jordan and I both studied math, and our wedding date corresponded to the first five digits of the mathematical constant pi (3/14/15), a once- in- a- lifetime occurrence. The soft blush and vintage gold theme was inspired by our venue at One King West—the original headquarters for the Dominion Bank, built in 1914. With a gold- leaf- coffered ceiling and Corinthian columns, the space lent itself to a romantic jazz-age-inspired wedding. We incorporated a lot of personalized details into the celebration, but the band was our favourite. Having live jazz music throughout the night tied in well with the vintage theme, historic venue and my love of swing dancing.
